Pinhole Camera Workshop with the BIG Camera!
Build a pinhole camera and then develop your pictures in the mobile darkroom inside the BIG CAMERA! Cost is $25 Ages 14+
Pinhole photography is one of the oldest and simplest forms of photography. It is based on the Camera Obscura - a darkened room, with a small hole on one side through which an image is projected on the opposite wall.
In this workshop you will learn to make a pinhole camera, take photos with it and develop the images in The Big Camera - our own traveling Camera Obscura and traditional darkroom. At the end of the workshop your camera will be come a SolarCam to take long exposures at home. These cameras track and record the path of the sun as it crosses the sky. No chemistry is required to process these images.
Come join us as we explore the magic of photography! No photographic experience is required, all ages from 14 and up are welcome.
Donna Moore and John Allen of the Big Camera are the instructors.
