Mark Palkovic will guide you through the construction of a "clamshell box" using traditional bookbinding methods. The box will be large enough to enclose a small book 6-1/2 by 5 inches of about 60 pages. Participants in Palkovic's April 2019 bookbinding class at Johnson County Arts Center created books of this size. This clamshell box will match those books in color and design, or, if desired, can be of a contrasting pattern or color. Instead of a book, the box could be used to house any small object{s}. Materials are included. The class is limited in size, so reserve your space early. The cost is $30.
